Community Champions Development Network
The Community Champions Development Network (CCDN), which sprang from the highly acclaimed Community Champions Development Programme, ran from September 2024 to September 2025.
The network provided support to coordinators of community champions initiatives across London, helping to strengthen collaboration, amplifying community voices, and sharing best practices.
As the NHS 10-year plan begins and changes take place across health and care systems, it was decided to pause the current network to enable reflection on the role of community engagement in the evolving landscape. While the network is ending in its current form, ADPH London remains committed to community engagement and its important role in the health and care system.
Launch of Transformations in Community Collaboration II Handbook
We are delighted to announce the publication of a ground-breaking handbook capturing insights into how to achieve successful Community Collaboration.
The handbook is a product of extensive research and collaboration, including in-depth interviews with practitioners and leaders in London and nationally, identifying impeding factors to community engagement and providing practical steps and shared insights.
This guide is written for people in the NHS, public health, local government, and other institutions who are working to prevent poor health and wellbeing, reduce health and wellbeing inequities, and improve outcomes.
