ADPH London is looking for DsPH, ADs, or CsPH, to join the London Breast Screening Service Clinical Reference Groups (CRGs), to represent the ADPH London network.
NHSE London is the commissioner for the national screening programmes in London. As part of its responsibility to maintain screening contracts for London, it is required to re-procure contracts for London’s breast screening service to commence from April 2026.
Work is now underway to ensure the services that will be procured will be effective and efficient, while meeting the national requirements, and the needs of the women of London. To contribute to this work, the NHSE London Screening Commissioning Team is looking for a representative, to join the Clinical Working Groups (CRGs).
There are two CRGs, one considering the Administrative Hub and the other the Clinical Services. NHSE London would like to have representation on both groups. Whilst they are considering different aspects of the service, all parts of the service need to be integrated, to provide a single coherent service for women. These groups include the opportunity to comment on screening coverage and specify activities, to support its increase, health inequalities and how these might be addressed.
What will you be doing?
- Provide views into the procurement on behalf of the ADPH London network.
- Participate in 1.5 hours virtual meetings (3-4 meetings anticipated for each CRG) + some time required for reading and commenting on service specifications, or other documents. First Meeting: Pending scheduling, but likely March or April.
As a separate task, NHSE London would welcome one or more representatives, to assist them in evaluating the bids received. This will occur in the later part of this calendar year. Evaluation scoring is an online task followed by one or more online meetings, to agree and finalise scores. Later in the year, training will be provided for this task.
