ADPH Consultation Response: National Planning Policy Framework 2024

This consultation seeks views on the proposed approach to revising the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) in order to achieve sustainable growth in our planning system. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government are also seeking views on a series of wider policy proposals in relation to increasing
planning fees, local plan intervention criteria and appropriate thresholds for certain Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.

In our response, we have utilised resources such as our position statements on healthy weight, built environment and climate change as well as a previous ADPH consultation response on the NPPF from 2018 and two draft template responses developed by the OHA and Sustain.
