Our representative structure across the four nations provides a democratic and inclusive governance and improves engagement and ownership by DsPH at local level.

The Board, all serving DsPH, represent the views of our members at a national and local level. Elected by our members, each Board member serves a three-year term and is a Trustee and Company Director.

As President, Greg chairs our Board and leads members and staff in maintaining high profile advocacy for priority public health issues on behalf of our members.

Ruth, our Treasurer, works with the Chief Executive to advise the Board on financial decisions and securing funding for ADPH.

Sandra, our Honorary Secretary for practice improvement, chairs the Sector-led Improvement Board and works with staff to facilitate practice exchange among ADPH members.

Matt, our Honorary Secretary for membership, works with staff to ensure that our members receive appropriate support, communications and services from us and that their views are listened and responded to.

Julia, our Honorary Secretary for infrastructure, is responsible for ensuring that we act according to the governance framework, which outlines our policies and protocols, and that we comply with legal requirements.
Council members
ADPH policy is guided by an elected Council, made up of representatives from our nine regions, the devolved administrations and our associate members. A Faculty of Public Health observer also sits on the Council, as does our Healthy Places Policy Advisory Group Lead, Sangeeta Leahy.
As well as leading our Policy Advisory Groups, which inform ADPH policy and shape our consultation responses, Council members work to ensure good two-way communication between their network and ADPH.
