Public Mental Health

Aim: To provide strategic leadership, support and advocacy for pan-London initiatives to maintain and improve the mental health of Londoners

This includes:

  • Supporting the Thrive London project by providing Public Health leadership and subject matter expertise
  • Supporting the Good Thinking project by providing Public Health leadership and subject matter expertise
  • Provide Public Health input to the Mental Health Transformation Board
  • Jointly hosting the London Public Mental Health Network with OHID London
Public Mental Health Network

The network meets quarterly and is open to colleagues, who work on Mental Health at a local level. It is an opportunity to share knowledge, learn and hear about what is happening in boroughs as well as at pan London level. Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Community of Practice (CYP MH CoP)

This is a group that is jointly run with OHID London. It meets quarterly for an hour to share knowledge, learn and hear about what is happening in boroughs as well as at pan London level specifically related to children’s mental health. Thrive LDN is a citywide movement to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all Londoners. It is supported by the Mayor of London and led by the London Health Board partners.

Good Thinking – Good Thinking is an online service that helps Londoners look after their mental health and wellbeing in a way that works for them, providing personalised advice, support and resources to help people struggling with stress, low mood, anxiety, sleep problems and other mental health concerns. It is free to Londoners and supported by London boroughs as well as other partners and delivered by Transformation Partners in Health and Care.
