The wider public health workforce plays a vital role in supporting and delivering public health across a huge range of settings and can be broadly defined as “any individual who is not a specialist or practitioner in public health but has the opportunity or ability to positively impact health and wellbeing through their work”. Throughout 2023, RSPH has been engaging with the wider public health workforce to find out about the challenges they face and how they might be better supported around career development and delivering public health.
The meeting will be chaired by Phil Satherley, RSPH, Policy Manager, and guest speakers include:
Linda Hindle OBE, Deputy Chief Allied Health Profession Officer for England,
Dr Chloe Sellwood, Deputy Head Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response NHS England – London,
Nazreen Iqbal, Health Inequalities Lead, Integrated Stroke Delivery Networks – Yorkshire and Humber,
William Roberts, RSPH, CEO.
During this webinar we will discuss insight from the engagement, the key issues affecting the wider public health workforce – including career development and recognition – and the solutions.
