Join The London Joint Working Group on Substance Use and Hepatitis for an engaging session with Professor Magdalena Harris, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, who will be sharing research on the Safe Inhalation Pipe Provision (SIPP) Project and national progress. This will be an exciting opportunity to hear evidence-based harm reduction interventions with the aim of reducing health risks and enhancing service engagement amongst crack and heroin users.
Public Health teams will have the chance to hear from the London Joint Working Group (LJWG) who will share a survey carried out at their Hackney Harm Reduction Hub. The LJWG are surveying the need for safe inhalation pipes in the drug using communities and the use of homemade equipment leading to serious health risks. Attendees will engage in a discussion to explore potential solutions to the need and share insights on data gathering.
Date: Thursday 12 December 2024
