The Faculty of Public Health (FPH) is launching a new Smoking and Vaping Special Interest Group (SIG) to increase advocacy and knowledge-sharing around this key public health issue. Smoking remains the single biggest cause of preventable disease and death.
It was announced in the King’s Speech that reintroduction of the Tobacco and Vapes Bill was an early priority for the Government, providing an opportunity to save thousands of lives, protect the next generation, and reduce health inequalities.
We are holding a SIG launch event to consider key priorities around smoking and vaping and where the new SIG can make the biggest impact in this exciting space.
