The LGA/ ADPH Annual Public Health Conference 2026: Better health for all – Local leadership in action, taking place from Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 February 2026, will bring together leaders, practitioners, and partners to explore how we can achieve better health for all. With expert insights and practical examples from across the country, the event will highlight the vital role of local government and its partners in shaping healthier communities.
This year’s programme will feature a range of sessions on key public health themes, from prevention and early intervention to tackling the wider determinants of health and neighbourhoods. Delegates will hear the latest thinking from national leaders and gain valuable learning from those delivering innovative approaches on the ground.
Across three half-day virtual sessions, participants will have the chance to engage with a stellar line-up of speakers, share good practice, and discuss the issues that matter most to their communities. This is a unique opportunity for the public health community to come together, take stock and plan for the future.
Timings across all three days:
Session 1: 9.30am – 10.30am
Session 2: 10.45am – 11.45am
Session 3: 12.00pm – 1.00pm
This conference is delivered by the Local Government Association (LGA) in partnership with the Association of Directors and Public Health (ADPH).
