New web pages highlighting the learning and influence from some of our recent projects
Today, we have published three new web pages showcasing the outcomes and learning from a three-year programme of work funded by The Health Foundation.
The projects, which started in 2023, brought together expertise from our members and partners across all four nations, alongside organisations that do not traditionally see themselves as public health. This approach helped extend public health thinking into new sectors and strengthen cross system collaboration.
Each project focused on one of three shared priority areas:
Across the programme, we supported members and other colleagues to strengthen their practice on complex public health challenges through a series of workshops, webinars, and peer learning sessions. This included deepening subject specific knowledge on issues such as alcohol licensing, the impacts of gambling harm on communities, and the role planning has to play in health and wellbeing.
Building on this learning, we also contributed to national policy processes, including the National Policy Planning Framework consultation, helping to inform and shape policy direction. By convening partners from across the system, the projects also supported the development of a shared language and clearer understanding of cross sector challenges.
A highlight of this work was bringing together more than 250 partners from across the children’s sector, supporting a unified approach to prevention and early intervention across the 0-19 agenda.
Each new web page brings together downloadable resources designed to support members and colleagues to apply insights locally, including practical tools, briefing materials, case studies, and examples of effective practice, demonstrating how learning from the projects has been translated into local and national change.
