The London Tobacco Alliance / Stop Smoking London campaign has two initiatives to make you aware of for December 2024 / January 2025
- This December, to prepare smokers to make a quit attempt we have developed information around five tips to help them prepare #Fivefor2025. The landing page is here and a communication toolkit for LA teams is available here
- The soft launch of the Smokefree app has commenced. The phases of rollout are listed below. The date to note is the main go-live of 1 January 2025
SmokeFree app – rollout and marketing
Phase 1 – (now live)
- Soft launch and system testing
Phase 2 (W/C 9 December)
- Discussion around promotion at London Tobacco Control Network Tuesday 9 December
- Promotional materials for full January launch led by LA teams for targeting priority population groups in their borough will be sent out under embargo until 1 January
Phase 3 mid-December onward
- Information for individual boroughs wishing to purchase additional licences for use for their borough residents once London allocation used sent out
Phase 4 (1 January onwards)
- Go live for borough-based targeted marketing
- Ongoing monitoring of licences and adjustment of marketing if required
Phase 5 (Jan/Feb)
- Agreement on possible funding and plan for 2025/26 (to include bespoke number licences per borough depending on contribution)
