Hear directly from young people and practitioners on what better suicide prevention support should look like—and how to deliver it locally.

Looking to strengthen your local approach to suicide prevention for children and young people? This national webinar offers practical insight grounded in lived experience and cross-sector collaboration.

Hosted by the National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA) in partnership with the University of Birmingham’s Institute for Mental Health, this session shares findings from the ATTUNE study—exploring how young people experience accessing support for self-harm and suicidality across voluntary and statutory services.

For London public health professionals, this is a valuable opportunity to:

  • Understand barriers and enablers young people face when seeking help
  • Hear emerging best practice for collaborative, cross-sector care
  • Explore how national recommendations can be applied in local systems
  • Feed into developing policy and practice through discussion and Q&A

The session features a panel including research leads, lived experience voices and frontline practitioners, followed by an interactive discussion. Participants will receive a booklet of recommendations in advance and are encouraged to share perspectives to help shape ongoing policy influence.

Format: Panel discussion + Q&A

If you’re working across local authority public health, children’s services, or multi-agency suicide prevention partnerships, this is a useful space to reflect on your current approach and take away actionable ideas.
