This time, we’re looking to Amsterdam to explore its approach to tackling childhood obesity. While childhood obesity rates are rising in many parts of the world, including the UK, in Amsterdam the rates are reported to be falling. The Amsterdam Healthy Weight Programme is one of the best-resourced obesity reduction programmes in the world. Launched in 2012, it aimed to bring all children down to a healthy weight by 2033.
