Haringey’s Gambling Harms Reduction Network Meeting

The event will be Chaired by Cllr das Neves, Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care & Wellbeing.

In this network meeting, presentations include:

  • The Impact of Gambling on Young People and its Relation to Indoctrination and Neurodivergence – Alistair Barfield, Director & Founder, Deflect and Protect CIC
  • An Overview of Haringey’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) on Gambling Harms, Dr Jacob Bradshaw, UCL/LSHTM
  • Content and Frequency of Gambling-related Advertising in Haringey High Streets – Sylvie Morojova, Research Assistant, UCL Research Department of Behavioural Science & Health
  • Young People and Gambling Harms – Verity Bramwell, Young People Services Manager, GamCare

The network is comprised of representatives from our NHS, mental health trust, hospital trusts, GP Federation, community services, voluntary sector, gambling support charities, national public health organisations, local authorities and Mayor’s office as well as Haringey Council. There will be an opportunity to network.
