Asylum Seeker and Refugee Network

The Asylum Seeker and Refugee (ASR) Network, hosted by ADPH London, brings together public health colleagues to support a coordinated, equitable response to the needs of people seeking asylum and refuge across London.

Local authority public health teams play a critical role in addressing the complex health and wellbeing challenges this population faces. This network provides a practical space for shared learning, problem solving, and collaboration, helping boroughs respond effectively to changing needs and system pressures.

Who it’s for
London local authority ASR leads and public health colleagues, with relevant partners contributing where appropriate.

How it works

  • Meets quarterly (three online, one in-person)
  • Focused, member-led discussions on current challenges and priorities
  • Opportunities to share intelligence, resources, and local practice

Aim
To support members to:

  • Share timely intelligence and effective approaches
  • Strengthen partnerships and coordinated responses
  • Improve access to equitable, trauma-informed services
  • Influence system-wide action and reduce health inequalities

Why join
The network offers a trusted space to connect with peers, troubleshoot challenges, and translate learning into local action, supporting more consistent and effective practice across London.
