Closure of the Good Thinking mental health platform

In March 2025, the government announced a major structural reform of the NHS, including the abolition of NHS England by 2027. As part of the reform, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) are facing a significant reduction in running costs, with a refocus on strategic commissioning to better meet the needs of patients and improve health outcomes.

In turn, these changes have affected funding for Good Thinking, which unfortunately means we’re no longer able to continue the service. This has been a difficult decision after eight years of helping more than 850,000 Londoners to better manage their mental health and wellbeing, and we’d like to thank our team and partners for all their hard work.

The Good Thinking website will still be available to access until 31 January 2026. From 1 February 2026, the website will be replaced by a page that signposts to other mental health support organisations.

We know that many Londoners, as well as many of our partners across the London health and care landscape, have found the resources available through the Good Thinking platform to be invaluable. We’ve therefore created an archived version of our website that, whilst not being updated, will continue to provide access to the full range of Good Thinking resources.

As part of our programme closedown, we’re also working closely with some of our key partners, including Thrive LDN and Partnership for Young London, to find new homes for some of our resources so that Londoners can still benefit from them in the future.

Remember, there is lots of support available for Londoners who are struggling with their mental health, including GPs and local mental health team (search online using your postcode).

The Youth Endowment Fund has recently published the latest in their series of reports – Mental health and experiences of violence – discussing the dramatically higher mental health risk facing teenage children affected by serious violence.
