Devolution position statement refresh

We have refreshed our policy position statement on devolution, which is part of our suite of policies outlining members’ views and recommendations on a wide range of key public health topics.

As the English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill progresses, our position statement outlines the key opportunities and challenges devolution presents, together with recommendations for effective implementation. It also highlights the central role of Directors of Public Health and their teams, calling for full recognition of their statutory leadership role in protecting and improving health across local systems and new devolved structures.
