In our response to the Government’s consultation on smoke-free, heated tobacco-free, and vape-free outdoor and indoor places in England, we have highlighted:
- The importance of making all children’s playgrounds smoke-free, heated tobacco-free and vape-free.
- The importance of making outdoor areas of health and care settings smoke-free and heated tobacco-free.
- The need to ensure readily available support for smoking cessation services in health and care settings to support this.
- The benefit of making outdoor areas of education settings smoke-free, heated tobacco-free, and vape-free.
- The need to review the indoor smoke-free exemption for care homes and hospices.
- The importance of making all indoor places that are currently smoke-free also heated tobacco-free and vape-free.
- That vaping is effective when used as a stop smoking tool, but those who do not smoke should not vape and that marketing of vapes to children is utterly unacceptable.
