ADPH gives evidence to Transport Committee

Improving physical activity will improve population health and wellbeing which can directly translate into economy and growth.

This morning, ADPH Board Member and Director of Public Health for Oxfordshire, Ansaf Azhar gave evidence to the Transport Select Committee on the positive impacts improving access to active transport can have, not just on our physical and mental health and wellbeing, but to the economy as well.

In his evidence, Ansaf also explained the importance of improving access to public transport, as well as the need to make it easier to connect between modes of transport and the importance of ensuring that access is improved for everyone, regardless of where they live or how much money they have.
