New episode of PH Spotlight

A brand new episode of our video podcast, made in collaboration with Panoramic Associates, is now available to watch, featuring Steven Brown, Director of Public Health for Devon.

Steven reflects on his move into public health after a successful career in health and care, sharing what he has learnt along the way to becoming a Director of Public Health.

Having worked in Devon for nearly three decades, Steven shares the change he has seen across the system, including NHS and local government reorganisation. He explains why adaptability is so important in public health, especially during these times of change, and reflects on the other qualities that have helped him to succeed in the role.

He also shares his advice for aspiring public health leaders, including the importance of establishing strong partnerships, staying open to change, learning from others, and empowering those around you to deliver the best outcomes for your team and wider community.
