ADPH responds to national cancer plan consultation
In our response we stress that the focus should be on keeping people well through strong and well-funded prevention. Over a third of cancers are preventable and this should be a top priority in reducing cancer cases, deaths and overall impact.
Consuming alcohol is one of the factors that increases the risk of cancer, but public awareness of alcohol’s link to cancer remains low.
Ahead of this year’s Cancer Prevention Week, World Cancer Research Fund has launched a petition calling on the Government to implement a National Alcohol Strategy for England, to address the cancer risks associated with alcohol.
