New episode of PH Spotlight

The latest episode of our video podcast, PH Spotlight, which is made in collaboration with Panoramic Associates, is now available to listen and download. This time, we hear from Sandra Husbands, DPH for London Borough of Hackney and City of London Corporation.

Sandra originally trained as a medic and transitioned into public health through the health consultant route working in different areas of the UK, including Wales, Northamptonshire and London. Her progression demonstrates one of the routes into public health that can lead to an impactful career.

Sandra emphasises the importance of good practice in public health and the great work that local champions do for their communities along with the unique challenges of working in inner London with significant health inequalities and differences in life expectancy of the communities in which she works.
