ADPH celebrate International Women’s Day

As women around the world are celebrated to mark International Women’s Day 2023, our three female Board Members – Alice Wiseman, Ruth Tennant and Sandra Husbands, comment on the public health workforce, and women’s health:

“Thankfully, there are now many women working at all levels of public health – in fact, the majority of the public health workforce are female.

“However, while there is better equity in the profession, we still have a long way to go until women have equal access to health care and equity in health outcomes – both internationally and in the UK.”
