Our People, Communities and Challenges: Celebrating Diversity, Innovation and Collaboration
Purpose of the event:
♦ To celebrate and showcase achievements in public health across North East England
♦ To promote innovative public health practice and research
♦ To foster collaborative and cross sector working across the public health system to tackle emerging and future public health challenges
♦ To promote an asset based approach to improve the public’s health and reduce health inequalities
♦ To foster a collaborative approach to tackling racism, discrimination and their impact on public health
♦ To provide networking and professional development opportunities to learn and share knowledge across public health
Programme: Spanning across the 3 domains of public health (Health Protection, Health Improvement, and Health Care Public Health), the programme will include local presentations from across the life course (Starting Well, Living Well and Ageing Well). There will also be an opportunity to hear from keynote speakers, attend themed workshops and network with colleagues.

Who should attend? Anyone working in core or wider public health roles, including Faculty of Public Health members, Local Authorities, UK Health Security Agency, Office of Health Improvement and Disparities, NHS, academics, Voluntary and Community Sector, and wider public health partners.
