Congratulations to Dr. Sakthi Karunanithi on receiving the Faculty of Public Health’s Service Medal for 2025!

Dr Sakthi Karunanithi, Director of Public Health for Lancashire County Council, has been honoured with the Faculty of Public Health’s 2025 Service Medal. This prestigious award recognises his contributions as faculty advisor for the North West. His duties include appointing Directors of Public Health and senior specialists across the North West region.
In addition, two Consultants from Lancashire County Council were also recognised for their contributions.
Paula Hawley-Evans was awarded the Faculty of Public Health’s Service Medal for 2025 for her exceptional work as Vice Chair of the Arts and Health Special Interest Group. Meanwhile, Steve Morton received his membership award as a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health following his registration onto the Specialist Public Health Register.
