Members of the Collaborative Leadership Group agreed some principles of how we work together.

Our Key Principles are:

Communication

  • Clear expression and exchange of ideas, thoughts, opinions, knowledge and data
  • Active listening, working to understand the emotion and intention behind what’s being shared
  • Onward communication about our work with the teams, networks and groups we represent

Respect:

  • Valuing the qualities, skills, and positive attributes of all our partner colleagues
  • Treating each other with professionalism and consideration

Trust:

  • Positive relationships – generating cooperation and resolving conflict between partner colleagues and providing feedback in a helpful way
  • Good judgement and expertise – seeking and trusting in ideas and opinions of others; using their knowledge and expertise to contribute to achieving results and responding quickly to problems
  • Consistency – setting a good example, following through on commitments and being willing to go above and beyond
