Trauma Informed Success!

It was recently shared within the Public Health team at Blackburn with Darwen that the team has successfully achieved the One Small Thing – Working with Trauma Quality Mark at Bronze Level: Trauma Aware! 🎉

This is a fantastic achievement and something the team are all be proud of. We are also the first Public Health team to achieve this award which is a huge milestone.

Achieving the Bronze award recognises the work we’ve already done to become more trauma aware but it’s also a great foundation to build on as we continue embedding trauma-informed practice across the team.

As part of achieving the award our logo will now be added to the One Small Thing website recognising us as an accredited organisation. We will also be invited to take part in a reflective feedback session to look back on our journey, celebrate what we’ve achieved, and share any learning or experiences from the process.

We hope many other local authorities will be able to share the same success story, especially with how closely linked trauma informed practice is with our public health work!
