The English Infants, Children and Young People Commissioners Group (EICYPCG) held an online launch event on Tuesday 25th November from 13:30 to 16:00.
Established in May 2025, EICYPCG is a peer-led network which aims to provide a strategic forum for those with commissioning responsibility for the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme (HCP) public health services in England.
The launch event featured national representatives from the Department of Health and Social Care, who provided an update on the upcoming refresh of the Healthy Child Programme guidance, expected to be published in December or early next year. We also heard from the Institute of Health Visiting and the School and Public Health Nurses Association, who shared their perspectives on future priorities for 0-19 HCP commissioning.
A key part of the session was a collaborative workshop focused on key 0-19 themes. This provided an opportunity for members to network, and identify and agree on the key challenges the group should address and influence moving forward.
Membership is free and open to all 0-19 HCP commissioners working for local authorities in England.
