London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine: Health Information Unpacked
Hear from leading voices on how to understand and combat the rising tide of health misinformation in the UK.
The Health Misinformation: UNPACKED event, hosted by LSHTM’s Centre for Epidemic Preparedness and Response, is part of a programme of work LSHTM has planned for 2025 to combat dangerous health misinformation in the media, on social media, and online with a focus on four key health topics vulnerable to misinformation: pandemics, climate and health, vaccines, and reproductive health. It is taking place on Monday 15 September, 1pm – 5pm. It is running both in person and online.
Misinformation experts from LSHTM and wider academia, UK Government, the World Health Organization and UK media institutions will share their understanding of global health misinformation challenges and suggest potential solutions.
