SUMMARY:Community Chest Evaluation Launch Webinar
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate the release of the community chest evaluation repo
rt\, Transformation Partners in Health and Care welcome you to join them f
or a webinar\, hosted in collaboration with Care City. During this session
\, they will share key findings\, learnings and recommendations that can h
elp system partners interested in adopting a similar approach in their loc
 alities.\n\nDate: Thursday\, 14th November 2024\nTime: 11:00 am – 12:00
pm\n\nThe evaluation comes at a perfect time as they are seeing greater em
phasis being placed on community integration and prevention\, for example
through the development of the Integrated Neighbourhood Teams and the rece
nt findings in the recent Darzi report\, the Community Chest presents a un
ique enabler to realise this vision.\n\nConducted by Care City\, this eval
uation highlights the success of the programme in fostering partnerships b
 etween local authorities\, the NHS\, and the Voluntary\, Community\, and S
ocial Enterprise (VCSE) sector across Tower Hamlets and Barking &amp\; Dag
enham. Key learnings from the evaluation regarding the enablers of success
for the Community Chest programme include:\n\n Addressing existing relat
ionships and power dynamics: between statutory and non-statutory partners\
n Using local insights to identify unmet needs: a mixed methods approach
should be adopted\, combining existing data analysis and consultations wit
h social prescribers and other frontline staff\n Proportionate data colle
ction and evaluation: Careful consideration should be given to the minimum
viable data set required for evaluation and monitoring\n\nProfessor Kevin
Fenton\, OHID London Regional Director said:\n\n“The Community Chest ha
s had a profound positive impact on our local communities. I am delighted
to see how pooling local resources and encouraging partnership working has
supported the health and wellbeing of residents most in need. The insight
s and recommendations from the Community Chest model demonstrates the powe
r of this collaborative approach. I look forward to seeing how the learnin
gs from this programme can continue to support local communities in addres
sing health inequalities.”\n\nWe invite you to read the full independent
evaluation report and to find out more about the Community Chest model.\n
