SUMMARY:Ethical Visualisation and Ethnic Disparities Data Training
DESCRIPTION:The Public Health Tackling Racism and Inequalities Programme\,
  in collaboration with Dr Caroline Parker\, Lecturer in Anthropology at UC
 L\, is hosting a one-day CPD course on Monday 12 October 2026 for public h
 ealth colleagues.\n\nThe course addresses how we collect\, categorise\, an
 d visualise data on ethnic disparities in ways that are scientifically rig
 orous\, ethically sound\, and do not inadvertently reinforce the very ster
 eotypes they are meant to challenge.\n\nThe morning will introduce partici
 pants to key concepts\, including:\n\n 	What race and ethnicity are - and
  what they are not\n 	Racial formation\n 	How racism can play out in stati
 stics\n 	The invisibility of whiteness\n\nThis will be followed by an afte
 rnoon session where participants translate these theories and principles i
 nto practice\, working through real-life examples from their own areas of 
 work.\n\nHealth intelligence leads have been prioritised as invitees\, but
  some additional spaces are available\, though limited.\n\nThis is an in-
