DESCRIPTION:Please join ADPH London as we celebrate South Asian Heritage Mo
 nth. This webinar will be hosted by the ADPH London: Public Health Tackli
 ng Racism and Inequality Programme (PHTRI).\n\nSouth Asian Heritage Month 
 (SAHM)\n\nSAHM seeks to commemorate\, mark and celebrate South Asian cultu
 res\, histories\, and communities. The month seeks to understand the diver
 se heritage and cultures that continue to link the UK with South Asia. Sou
 th Asian culture has made a significant impact on Britain in various aspec
 ts\, such as food\, clothing\, music\, words and the overall ambiance of o
 ur towns and cities. It’s a beautiful display of the rich and proud Sout
 h Asian heritage that has blended into the British way of life\, contribut
 ing to the diversity of our nation. Observing South Asian Heritage Month p
 rovides us with an excellent chance to embrace and celebrate the history a
 nd identity of British South Asians.\n\nWebinar presenters include\;\n\n

 porting\, Black\, Asian and minority ethnic communities in public health\n
 \nThe London Association of Directors of Public Health\, published a posit
 ion statement in February 2021\, supporting Black\, Asian and minority eth
 nic communities during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic. This statement hi
 ghlights racism as a public health issue and it is vital that we take acti
 on to mitigate any futher widening of health inequalities.\nPlease sign up
