175 Year Celebration of Directors of Public Health

May 20, 2022 in Events, Headline Events, Uncategorized, Upcoming Events by Philippa Wilson

In 1846, Liverpool became the first city in the world to appoint a Medical Officer of Health (now known as a DPH) when it appointed Dr William Henry Duncan.

ADPH have now launched the 175-year anniversary project, a year-long celebration of the role of DsPH.

As part of the celebrations, we would like to showcase as many positive public health stories as possible. Please get involved by tweeting examples of local success stories tagging us in @ADPHUK with the #DPH175.

We would also like it if you could add the special 175-year logo to your email footers, websites and any other correspondence.  The logo suit is available to download below.
