Policy & Advocacy


In working to meet its objectives, the ADPH responds to public health related policies proposed by other organisations and develops its own policies, often in collaboration with other groups. More detail on how we formulate our policy programme can be found here.

Current work includes policies on alcohol, sexual health and active travel.

Advocacy


To help improve the health of the public ADPH develops its own policies. It is also a partner in a number of alliances which have agreed policies aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of the population. It initiates and supports messages to the media and others on relevant areas of policy.
